CHENNAI: Noting how TTF Vasan, a YouTuber who is popular among the youth as a motovlogger, was repeatedly performing risky stunts on his vehicle, the district court in Kancheepuram rejected his bail petition on Thursday.

Vasan had met with an accident on Sunday while performing a bike stunt on the highway near Dhammal in Kancheepuram. The mishap left him with injuries, including a fracture on his right hand and minor injuries on other parts of his body. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kancheepuram for treatment, and was discharged within a day.

After it came to light that the accident was a result of him performing dangerous stunts, the Baluchery Chatiram police registered a case against Vasan under various sections. On Tuesday morning, they arrested him from his friend’s house in Tiruvallur. A court had subsequently sent Vasan in custody till October 3 and he was lodged in Puzhal prison.

When Vasan’s petition seeking bail came up at the Kancheepuram district court on Thursday, Judge Symonds said the court was not inclined to grant him bail within two days, as he was repeatedly performing the same kind of stunts regularly. The judge then dismissed his bail petition.
