CHENNAI: The CMRL is collaborating with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for providing hassle-free travel for fans in Metro trains during the IPL season. If you’re in the city to watch the match in April and May, you’ll be allowed to use your QR/barcoded entry tickets for the IPL matches as train ticket for commuting in Metro trains. This facility can be used for reaching and returning from the venue through Government Estate Metro station without paying separate travel fare. The CMRL has also arranged a feeder bus service from the Metro station to Chepauk stadium. During the night matches, it has planned to extend train operation upto 90 minutes. It has also arranged live screening of IPL matches from April 3 in 5 metro stations – Nandanam, Vadapalani, Wimco Nagar, Tirumangalam and Puratchi Thalaivar Dr MG Ramachandran Central Metro.
