The Governor’s affidavit in the Supreme Court also disputes one of the earlier claims made by the Raj Bhavan. In a release issued on July 6, 2023, the Raj Bhavan said it has “not received any reference or request in respect of MR Vijayabhaskar from the state government.” The following day (July 7), the government, unofficially, released the acknowledgement issued by the Raj Bhavan receiving the same. Monday’s affidavit by the Governor in SC admits to receiving the request on May 15, 2023 and said it was under consideration.
