COIMBATORE: Transport Minister SS Sivasankar on Friday said bike taxis were not permitted in Tamil Nadu and that the State government has not recognised bikes to be operated as rental vehicles. However, the minister said that regulations were not framed yet to allow bike taxis. “Generally, the government should be paid for operating rental vehicles,” he added. The minister further said that police will be acting on illegal bike taxi services.
