CHENNAI: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will organise his party district secretary meeting on April 7. The party statement released on Saturday said the meeting would be held in the AIADMK headquarters at Royapettah at 4.30 pm. Though the reason for the meeting was not disclosed by Palaniswami, AIADMK sources said that the meeting, also comprising former ministers and senior party functionaries, is expected to discuss the party membership drive and how to induct more cadres to the party. Sources further added that the meeting will also review the future action plan for the general elections.
