CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported 22 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. Total number of cases in the State reached 35,94,109. City reported 4 new cases, while Chengalpattu and Coimbatore reported 3 cases each. TN’s test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.4% after 5,923 samples were tested in the past 24 hours. The highest TPR of 1.6% was reported in Tirupur. Meanwhile, the active cases of COVID-19 in the State stood at 244, with the highest number in Chennai that had 35 cases. A total of 46 more people recovered, and the total recoveries reached 35,55,816. With no new COVID fatality in the past 24 hours, the death toll stood at 38,049.
