Mind your language, actions, CM Stalin warns party lawmakers

Chief Minister MK Stalin has ‘advised’ his Ministers and elected representatives not to be ‘careless’ in their words and actions.

Those who are unable to tolerate the good work done by the DMK regime to the people are trying to blow things out of proportion, CM Stalin said, in his letter to the cadre. Recalling the affectionate appeal he made to his Ministers, MPs, MLAs and local body representatives on September 26, the DMK president said, “Let there be no slackness in words and action under any circumstance. Handle them both carefully. Be careful and responsible in your words and body language with which you spell them out. Make sure that you do not lose your dignity while handling the people approaching you.”

CM Stalin’s advice comes in the backdrop of one of his Minister’s making disparaging remarks about the free bus travel for women. Exhorting the local body representatives who have maximum interface with the people to be more cautious, patient and responsible, the DMK president said, urging them not to give room for mistakes and complaints even a wee bit.

“I would like to strictly remind you that even if one or two such (careless) incidents come to my attention, I will not hesitate even a bit to initiate stringent action. I strongly believe that my dear brethren will not help the enemies to bring disrepute to the people’s welfare government formed after hard work,” added Stalin, who informed the cadre that he would file his nomination for the post of the party president election which would be conducted on October 9 at the general council meeting.
